Matthew Wright suffered an abused childhood. His only
solace... a bottle of ink and some paper. Inkblots grew to be his
sole companions while he was locked up in a closet as
punishment. Enter Darlene Phillips, another emotionally
disturbed child whose drunken father hurled insults at her and
her mother, causing Darlene to strive for perfection and to seek
to steal the limelight at every turn in life. As fate would have
it, as young adults, Matthew and Darlene become acquainted
and a relationship begins. A bizarre series of crimes turn up
and Darlene wins recognition writing about them. Who is the
sick person who is behind the heinous acts? Ultimately,
someone will be arrested, but will it be the right person?
