"Have you ever felt that you had a split personality? Sometimes with my writing I think that must be the case. For me, the Muse can conjure up anything from romance to inspirational, from juvenile to photojournalism and poetry. "My journey as a writer has led me to publish two books so far. Being Frank with Anne- a poetic interpretation of Anne Frank’s diary and Hot and Bothered By It, a book of midlife humorous poetry. Both published by Community Press and illustrated by the publisher, Deana Riddle. "These two books have taken me on an adventure of book signings, college talks, speaking at a young writer’s reception and giving a poetry workshop in Richmond for the Virginia Romance Writers. "I was thrilled when Being Frank with Anne was archived at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and when I heard that her cousin, Buddy Elias, who heads up the Anne Frank Fonds in Switzerland , liked my book and remarked that Anne would have liked it too. "Hot and Bothered By It has been a fun experience too and I’ve enjoyed sharing my brand of insanity with others at readings and for women’s groups. The CEO and publisher of Today’s Chicago Woman magazine endorsed and reviewed it for her magazine. "My latest project is a weekly column for Your Corner, a supplement to The Virginian-Pilot. I also write various articles and restaurant reviews for this publication. It’s carrying me places that are exciting to write about from outdoor markets to a llama raiser whose home is steeped in local history. "My acting experience recently has included an audition for a medical health film and an offer for a role to be shot in Newport News ; however, I was busy with my editor that day. "My latest book is Twelve is for More Than Doughnuts, a book of poetry and essays based on the Bible. I also have a YA suspense, INKBLOT, that I am co-writing with Nancy Naigle to be marketed under the name Johnson Naigle. Other projects include an inspirational book for women to be published and I'm also writing a poetry book based on the watercolor artwork of a friend."
